Excursion to Oxford & Shakespeare Country
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Our tour
will begin at 8:30 AM. One hour later, we will arrive at the university
town of Oxford, with its many gothic, tudor and Elizabethan style
churches, monuments and buildings. We will then be taken approximately
10 miles west of Oxford to a small town of Woodstock, where lies the
birthplace and ancestral home of Sir Winston Churchill. The Bleheim
Palace is truly an architectural wonder, sitting comfortably within
the most spectacular grounds in the English countryside. You will
uncover the true identity of the Churchill family, how they lived
in all their splendor and controversy. After lunch at Woodstock we
would continue on to Stratford Upon-Avon, the birthplace of William
Shakespeare. This has all the ingredients needed to nurture your imagination
as to how Shakespeare lived. We could see museums, churches, theaters,
monuments and buildings such as Jane Hathaway's. |
